Buffing and Sanding Tool Offers Versatility
3M™ designed the professional-grade 3M™ Sander/Buffer 28773 with versatility in mind to suit a range of applications. Operators will appreciate its 1 HP motor when greater power is needed for demanding applications.

Used together with 3M™ Foam or Wool Buffing Pads (sold separately), this sander/buffer helps paint shops save time and money by repairing defects rather than repainting. After the defect is properly sanded out of the part, a buffing pad is used for follow-up work. This rotary tool was carefully engineered to optimize the performance of 3M™ Disc Pads and 3M™ Foam or Wool Buffing Pads. Wool buffing pads are ideal for compounding applications, while foam pads are appropriate for buffing and polishing applications. Use this tool with 3M™ Perfect-It™ buffing pads or with 3M™ Finesse-It™ backup pads and sanding and polishing discs.

Not exclusive to auto body shops, the 3M™ Sander/Buffer 28773 is an excellent choice for a variety of repairs on different substrates across a wide range of industrial applications – from paint and clear coat to lacquered wood, solid surface to acrylic.

Improving Surfaces with Every Rotation
Rotary tools spin the disc pad or buffing pad in a clockwise direction. Rotary sanding tools can operate at high speeds and remove defects or achieve paint prep very quickly. If scratches run deep, operators may want to use a rotary tool to enhance throughput and productivity. Subsequent finishing may require the use of a random orbital tool. Our Sander/Buffer tool is pneumatically powered, and operators should follow the instruction manual and ensure tool speed does not exceed the maximum operating speed of any accessories or product used. All of these precautionary measures help the tool perform optimally and keep operators safe.
