PIP 50-N140B Assurance Unsupported Nitrile Gloves with Raised Diamond Grip are ideal for various industries such as chemical processing, oil refining and petrochemicals, food processing, aerospace and automotive degreasing, automotive assembly and painting, machining operations, metal fabrication, graphic arts and printing cleanup, furniture manufacturing and electronics. These gloves are medium weight, providing a comfortable fit and real protection against chemical and physical hazards, and feature a hand specific design that offers flexibility, tactile sensitivity and dexterity sometimes lacking in heavier gauge unsupported nitriles. The gloves are unlined to reduce the potential of product contamination and have a straight cuff that adds additional length to protect the forearm from liquid run-off. The raised diamond pattern on the gloves enhances grip, while the chlorination process hardens and cleanses the surface of the gloves. The gloves comply with FDA food handling requirements 21 CFR, Part 177 and are silicone-free.

These gloves have been tested to EN 374 standards, with a resistance to methanol, heptane, and sodium hydroxide 40%. To attain the EN 374 pictogram shield, gloves must pass at least a Level 2 in three chemicals. The gloves have also been tested to EN 388 standards, with an abrasion resistance of 3, cut (coupe test) of 1, tear of 0, puncture of 1, and impact protection of X.

Additionally, the gloves' chemical permeation has been measured in accordance to European Standard EN 374-3, with breakthrough times of over 480 minutes for acetic acid (10%, 20%, and 25%), ammonium hydroxide (25%), cyclohexane, diesel fuel, ethyl alcohol, hydrogen chloride (10% and 37%), isopropyl alcohol, kerosene, n-butyl alcohol, n-heptan, n-heptane, n-hexane, n-propyl alcohol, nitric acid (10% and 40%), petrol unleaded, phosphoric acid (85%), potassium hydroxide (50%), sodium hydroxide (20%, 40%, and 50%), sodium hypochlorite, sodium silicate, sulfuric acid (40%, 50%, and 96%), and triethanolamine. However, it is important to note that these recommendations are advisory only, and the suitability of the gloves for a specific application or environment must be determined by the purchaser or user of the product.

These gloves are sold in a case of 144 pairs (12 pairs per dozen, 12 dozen per case) and are a reliable and protective option for those working in industries with potential hazards.
